The max trailing drawdown is the most your account can drop below its highest closing balance. On X-1-Step-DAILY it is 5% of your starting balance, on both the challenge and the funded account.
Account size | Max trailing drawdown (5%) | Starts at |
$5,000 | $250 | $4,750 |
$10,000 | $500 | $9,500 |
$25,000 | $1,250 | $23,750 |
$50,000 | $2,500 | $47,500 |
$100,000 | $5,000 | $95,000 |
How the trailing works
The drawdown level moves up with your closing balance. It never moves down.
Once your account is 5% in profit, the drawdown locks at your starting balance and stays there.
On a funded account, the drawdown also locks at your starting balance when you take your first payout.
Hard breach: if your balance or equity drops to the drawdown level, the account fails.
Example: $10,000 account ($500 drawdown)
Day | Closing balance | Highest closing balance | Account fails at |
Start | $10,000 | $10,000 | $9,500 |
Day 1 | $10,200 | $10,200 | $9,700 |
Day 2 | $10,050 | $10,200 | $9,700 (does not move down) |
Day 3 | $10,500 | $10,500 | $10,000 (locked) |
Day 4 | $10,900 | $10,900 | $10,000 (stays locked) |
On day 3 the account is 5% in profit, so the drawdown locks at the $10,000 starting balance and never moves again.
