Explanation

All Top One Trader crypto accounts use a daily drawdown based on your previous day high balance or previous day high equity. The system determines this value at 5 pm EST each day.

Your daily loss limit is calculated by taking the higher value of your balance or equity at 5 pm EST and subtracting the allowed percentage. This creates a fixed loss limit for the next trading day.

The limit does not change during the trading day, even if your account balance or equity rises or falls after 5 pm EST.

If your equity reaches the limit at any point, the account breaches the daily drawdown rule.

Daily Drawdown Calculation

At 5 pm EST the system checks two values:

• Your account balance

• Your account equity

It takes the higher number and subtracts your daily drawdown percentage.

This becomes your limit for the entire next day.

Example for One Step and One Step Funded (3% or 4%)

Starting balance: 10,000

Daily drawdown: 3%

Limit for the next day:

10,000 multiplied by 3% is 300

Daily limit: 9,700

If your equity touches 9,700 at any time, the account breaches the daily drawdown rule.

End of day example

At 5 pm EST

Balance: 10,400

Equity: 10,200

The system uses the higher number, which is 10,400

New limit for the next day: 10,400 minus 3%

New daily limit: 10,088

This limit remains fixed until the next 5 pm EST reset.

Example for Instant Funding (2% or 3%)

Starting balance: 10,000

Daily drawdown: 2%

10,000 multiplied by 2% is 200

Daily limit: 9,800

If your end of day high is 10,500 at 5 pm EST

New limit: 10,500 minus 2%

New daily limit: 10,290

This becomes your fixed limit for the next trading day.

Important Notes

• The daily limit is always based on your highest value at 5 pm EST

• The limit does not move during the trading day

• A breach occurs if your equity touches the limit even for a moment
