Troubleshooting Login Issues with MetaTrader 5

Below, we outline the most common challenges with logging into MetaTrader 5 and how to quickly fix them.

Please Note:

MetaTrader 5 is available as a Desktop Application and Mobile Application (iOS & Android). Make sure you’re using the correct version that suits your device.

IMPORTANT:

Your MetaTrader 5 login details are different from your Top One Trader dashboard login. You must use the credentials sent to you when you purchased your challenge.


1. Incorrect Login Credentials

Login: This is usually your account number, not your email address.
Password: The trading password sent to you upon account creation.
Server: You must select the correct server name provided in your email or dashboard.

🔐 To find your login credentials:

  • You will see:

    • Login (Account number), Password, Server

  • ⚠️ If you enter the wrong server, login will fail even if your password is correct.


2. How to Log In to the MetaTrader 5

Desktop/PC App:

  1. Open the MetaTrader 5 platform

  2. Click File > Open an Account

  3. Search for the Broker > Top One Trader Ltd then Next

  4. Click the "Connect with an Existing trade account" then Enter your credentials:

    1. Login: (Your account number)

    2. Password: (Trading password from your dashboard)

    3. Server: TopOneTrader-MT5 or TopOneTrader-Trade

  5. Click Finish to log in


Mobile App:

  1. Open the MetaTrader 5 application

  2. Click the ➕ on the upper right corner or Click the Add trading account on your screen

  3. Search for your Broker/Server name exactly as shown in your dashboard > Top One Trader Ltd

  4. Login to an Existing Account then Enter:

    • Login: Your account number

    • Password: Trading password

    • Server: TopOneTrader-MT5 or TopOneTrader-Trade

  5. Tap Login
