Below, we outline the most common challenges with logging into MetaTrader 5 and how to quickly fix them.
Please note: MetaTrader 5 is available as a Desktop Application and Mobile Application (iOS & Android). Make sure you are using the correct version that suits your device. Download link: MT5 Platform Link.
Important: your MetaTrader 5 login details are different from your Top One Trader dashboard login. You must use the credentials sent to you when you purchased your challenge.
1. Incorrect Login Credentials
Field | What to enter |
Login | Your account number, not your email address |
Password | The trading password sent to you upon account creation |
Server | You must select the correct server name provided in your email or dashboard |
To find your login credentials:
Go to your Top One Trader Dashboard: https://app.toponetrader.com
From your account list, click the account you want to access.
Click the Credentials button at the top of the page, next to Initial Balance.
In the Account Credentials window, click the Copy icon next to each field to copy your Login ID, Password and Server.
You can then paste these credentials directly into your trading platform when logging in.

2. How to Log In to MetaTrader 5
Desktop/PC App:
Open the MetaTrader 5 platform.
Click File > Open an Account.
Search for the Broker > Top One Trader Ltd, then Next.
Click "Connect with an Existing trade account", then enter your credentials:
Login: your account number
Password: trading password from your dashboard (not the Investor Password)
Server: TopOneTrader-MT5 or TopOneTrader-TradeClick Finish to log in.
Mobile App:
Open the MetaTrader 5 application.
Click the ➕ on the upper right corner or click "Add trading account" on your screen.
Search for your Broker/Server name exactly as shown in your dashboard > Top One Trader Ltd.
Select "Login to an Existing Account", then enter:
Login: your account number
Password: trading password from your dashboard (not the Investor Password)
Server: TopOneTrader-MT5 or TopOneTrader-TradeTap Login.
